Having a firm confession
This is a positive confession based on the knowledge that God is able to perform that which has been requested or promised.
The tongue has power to bear fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 states ” Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (KJV)
Therefore confession has power to impart life or death.
Because of it’s power we are warned of the following:
“But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.”
James 5:12 NKJV
