Read Judges 6-8 when God raises up a Gideon company to defeat the Midianites / Enemy.
Judges 8:22-23 NKJV
But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”
The people asked Gideon to rule over them. No doubt, Gideon was now a celebrity.
He passed the ultimate set man test.
He did not use his victory to usurp God’s position in the lives of the people.
